The Warm Homes Team accompanied the Scheme Roadshow to Lurgan, where they met with David Simpson MP, Stephen Moutray MLA and members of the Public.

Following a presentation on the Scheme, the Warm Homes advice team were on-hand to answer questions from the public and provide one-to-one support in filling out application forms and BEC forms.

At the event, Upper Bann MP David Simpson urged members of the public to avail of the opportunity to access the Warm Homes Scheme.  Speaking after the presentation in Lurgan Town Hall, David Simpson said, “I want to congratulate Bryson on their success in obtaining the delivery of the Warm Homes Scheme.”

 “I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage as many people as possible to attend briefings on the Scheme which not only deal with the issue of insulating their homes but other methods of heating.  Briefing evenings also provide and opportunity where people can access benefits advice.  Under the Warm Homes Scheme numerous households have already benefited in previous years and I look forward to many more people doing likewise. I would urge people to access this very valuable service.”

Speaking on the Warm Homes Public Event Alderman Stephen Moutray MLA said; “I was delighted to host such an event, I felt it was most informative and the scheme is something that many within the Craigavon area and indeed across Northern Ireland can benefit from”. 

“In this time of particular hardship I believe it is of paramount importance that we as local elected representatives assist in channelling help to those most in need.” 

“The new Warm Homes Scheme can and will assist some of the most vulnerable in society by providing free cost effective heating measures such as Cavity Wall Insulation, Loft Insulation, and Hot Water Cylinder Jackets for those eligible.”
